Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Float

About the Role

The MedSurg Float Pool RN provides care across medical-surgical and mixed acuity units, supporting two hospital campuses. This position involves night shifts, weekend and holiday rotation, and offers a float pool differential. RNs in this role will participate in unit-based councils and have opportunities for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Support medications and treatment plans for diverse patient acuity levels
• Float between units and campuses as needed
• Participate in shared governance and unit initiatives
• Support clinical mobility and professional development

Requirements

• 1-2 years of telemetry or critical care experience preferred
• Current RN licensure in MA in good standing
• BSN strongly preferred; associate degree considered with enrollment in BSN program
• BLS certification required
• Specialized certifications like PCCN or CVRN are advantageous
