Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical - Day Shift

About the Role

This role involves providing direct nursing care within the healthcare organization, ensuring patient needs are met through effective care plans and communication. The nurse acts as the primary coordinator among disciplines for well-organized patient care, implements and monitors care plans, and follows physician and nursing orders. Additionally, the nurse assesses and collaborates on discharge planning with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Delivering nursing care according to policies, procedures, and protocols
• Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions
• Coordinating multidisciplinary efforts for patient care
• Carrying out physician and nurse directives
• Assessing discharge needs and collaborating with team members

Requirements

• Current RN licensure or eligibility with the Alabama Board of Nursing
• CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire, from AHA or Red Cross
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program
• At least one year of RN experience
