Role Overview
An Acute Care Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing patient conditions, performing medical procedures, administering medications, and documenting care accurately. They collaborate with medical teams to deliver personalized, compassionate treatment, educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatments, and advocate for patient needs to ensure positive clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments during admission and shifts
- Respond promptly to patient requests
- Monitor therapeutic responses
- Educate patients and families about care plans
- Maintain thorough documentation and follow established nursing models to ensure quality care
Qualifications & Skills
- Valid RN license
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days
- Associate, Bachelor's, or Master's Degree in nursing
- Strong communication skills
- Strong clinical judgment
- Compassionate patient care skills
