Registered Nurse - Medical Oncology Specialty Unit

This role is for an experienced registered nurse in an oncology unit with 30 beds, caring for patients aged 18 and older. Key responsibilities include: performing patient assessments, developing and modifying care plans, administering chemotherapy and biotherapy, starting IVs, inserting NG tubes, dressing changes, and maintaining port access.Ensuring patient and staff safety, documenting care accurately, and providing emotional support to patients and families are essential duties.Collaborate with healthcare team members, offer constructive feedback, and participate in departmental programs such as shared governance and mentorship. Qualifications required: licensed RN with at least 1 year of experience, BLS certification within 30 days, and nursing education (college diploma). Skills and competencies include: oncology nursing skills, proficiency in medical procedures, effective communication, teamwork, safety awareness, and initiative for ongoing learning.
