About the role

This role is for a registered nurse in a 30-bed unit serving patients aged 18 and older, focusing on oncology, palliative, and medical care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct patient assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer chemotherapy, radiation, medications, and other procedures such as IV starts, NG tube insertions, and port access
  • Ensure accurate documentation
  • Promote patient and staff safety
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team
  • Provide emotional support to patients and families

Qualifications

  • Active RN license
  • BLS certification
  • At least one year of nursing experience
  • Nursing education

Skills

  • Proficiency in oncology procedures
  • Patient assessment
  • Medication administration
  • Safety protocols
