About the role
This role is for a registered nurse in a 30-bed unit serving patients aged 18 and older, focusing on oncology, palliative, and medical care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient assessments
- Develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer chemotherapy, radiation, medications, and other procedures such as IV starts, NG tube insertions, and port access
- Ensure accurate documentation
- Promote patient and staff safety
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team
- Provide emotional support to patients and families
Qualifications
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- At least one year of nursing experience
- Nursing education
Skills
- Proficiency in oncology procedures
- Patient assessment
- Medication administration
- Safety protocols
