About the role
Provide professional nursing care in a specialized Medical Oncology Unit, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions and recognize changes in status.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Monitor patient progress and ensure safety and compliance.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to team members.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve unit goals.
- Adhere to hospital policies and the Illinois RN Practice Act.
Requirements
- Current Illinois RN licensure.
- CPR certification.
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification within one year of hire.
- At least 1 year of RN experience in inpatient settings.
- Nursing degree (Associate or higher); Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred.
