Registered Nurse - Medical Oncology - Night Shift

About the role

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Oncology Unit, providing professional nursing care in accordance with state laws and hospital policies. The role involves employing critical thinking to assess patient conditions, plan, evaluate, and monitor care, and delegate tasks appropriately.

Responsibilities

• Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond accordingly.
• Record and communicate observations and care provided.
• Function as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve unit goals.

Requirements

• Current Illinois RN license.
• At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Nursing (or an associate degree with a plan to obtain a bachelor’s within five years of employment).
• CPR certification.
• Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification within one year of employment.

Schedule

Night shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
