Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Observation

• Assess, plan, delegate, and evaluate patient care as a primary or accountable nurse, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion.
• Safely administer medications following policies.
• Manage resources and staffing.
• Adhere to practice standards and regulations.
• Participate in the Nursing Shared Governance Model.
• Support improvement initiatives.
• Foster a learning environment for new staff and students.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and integrate current evidence into practice.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS RN license.
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Preferred: BSN.
• Preferred: Clinical experience in acute or ambulatory care.
• Preferred: Relevant certifications and specialty credentials such as ACLS, PALS, or TNCC.

Work Environment

Work occurs in clinical and office settings with frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting. The environment is fast-paced, with exposure to disinfectants and PPE requirements.

Patient Population

Serves patients of all ages, with HIPAA level 3 access to non-restricted patient information.
