Registered Nurse - Med Surg Neuro

About the role

This position involves providing compassionate, evidence‑based care to patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and surgeries in a neuro‑medical surgical unit.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care, ensuring clinical excellence at every bedside.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and families, to facilitate seamless recovery.
• Monitor and interpret patient clinical status, proactively identifying changes for prompt intervention.
• Educate patients and families, supporting discharge planning for successful home transitions.

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered Nurse licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a valid multi‑state license.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of employment, accepted from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent professional licensure.
