Role Overview
The position involves providing compassionate, evidence‑based care for patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, and surgeries in a Med Surg Neuro department.
Responsibilities
- Lead patient care, ensuring clinical excellence at every bedside.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care by liaising with physicians, therapists, and families for a seamless recovery process.
- Monitor and interpret patient clinical status, proactively identifying changes for rapid intervention.
- Educate and discharge patients and families, empowering them with tools for a successful transition home.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse licensure from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or a multi‑state license.
- BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from AHA or ARC.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school or equivalent professional licensure.
