About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by using technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordinating care with other health team members.

Responsibilities

  • Affirmatively assesses physical, social, and psychological status of patients, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate.
  • Collaboratively develops and implements individualized plans of care, involving patient, family, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Coordinates interdisciplinary care teams, delegating tasks as necessary, and ensures effective management of patient care delivery.
  • Evaluates patient responses to interventions and revises care plans as needed.
  • Promotes the nursing profession and participates in the development of others, adhering to legal and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Valid compact license must be transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers.
  • One or more years of RN work experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required as of the job description's last update on 4/27/2025, but employees hired or promoted prior to this date will be held to the minimum requirements that were in place at the time of their promotion or hire.

Qualifications

  • Ongoing need for visual and auditory skills to see and read information, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
  • Frequent verbal communication with patient care providers, patients, and visitors.
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy, including computer use and typing for documentation.
  • Ability to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients, and push/pull gurneys and portable equipment.
  • Standing for extended periods of time, navigating crowded and busy rooms, and driving a vehicle.

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $35.22 - $53.29.

Schedule

Full-time, 36 hours per week, nights and day shifts.
