About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Utah Valley Hospital is responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients in the Mother Baby Unit. The unit is a 36-bed facility located in Provo, Utah, serving low and high-risk postpartum patients, newborns 35 weeks and greater, and occasional GYN surgeries. Nurses work closely with patient care technicians, certified lactation specialists, and other interdisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate and effective care.
Responsibilities
- Absolutely assesses physical, social, and psychological status of patients.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Coordinates care with other health team members and educates patients and families as needed.
- Directs interdisciplinary care team and delegates tasks as necessary.
- Documents patient care accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Evaluates patient responses to interventions and revises care plans as needed.
- Promotes professionalism and maintains high standards of care.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Valid compact license transferred to the state of practice within 60 days of employment.
- BLS certification for healthcare providers.
- One or more years of RN work experience.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or willingness to obtain within four years of hire.
Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: Current RN license, BLS certification, one year of RN experience, BSN or willingness to obtain within four years.
- Preferred qualifications: BSN.

Pay

Schedule
