Role Overview

The Nurse Manager is a registered nurse responsible for leading and managing a clinical unit or service, ensuring quality patient care, safety, and staff retention. They oversee clinical, financial, human, and material resources, promoting a culture of safety and excellence through effective communication, data-driven decision-making, and compliance with standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage staff in decision-making and promote relationship-based, patient-centered care.
• Serve as chief retention and safety officer, managing resources efficiently.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, utilizing quality improvement strategies.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration, set performance standards, and resolve conflicts.
• Support professional development, uphold ethical standards, and model exemplary practice.
• Promote evidence-based nursing, research, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
• Current RN license in Georgia or multi-state compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years in nursing management.
• Certifications: BLS, and relevant licensure required at hire.
• Excellent communication, leadership, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
