Role Overview

The Nurse Manager provides leadership and management for a specific clinical unit(s), ensuring high-quality care, safety, and staff retention. They are responsible for effective communication, resource deployment, financial management, and fostering a collaborative, patient-centered environment. The role involves promoting staff competency, ensuring compliance with standards, and implementing evidence-based practices to improve clinical and operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage staff through shared governance and promote relationship-based care delivery.
• Serve as the unit's safety and retention leader, managing human and material resources efficiently.
• Analyze financial data, reduce waste using quality improvement tools, and support service line growth.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration, establish positive relationships, and promote professional development.
• Ensure staff competency, uphold ethical standards, and support professional nursing practice.
• Lead change management initiatives, promote research and evidence-based practices, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage budgets, participate in community outreach, and represent the organization positively.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
• Current RN license in Georgia or multi-state compact.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive nursing management experience.
• Certifications: BLS from American Heart Association, active nursing license.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
