REGISTERED NURSE MANAGER - EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Job Responsibilities

Registered Nurse Managers for the Emergency Department will provide nursing leadership under the guidance of the Director of Emergency Services and the Chief Nursing Officer. Key responsibilities include:

• Oversight of the overall daily function and staffing of the unit/department.
• Monitoring and evaluating the provision of nursing care according to established policies and procedures.
• Holding staff accountable for quality and clinical outcomes in support of facility objectives.

Job Qualifications

• 3 years of recent acute care Leadership experience in the ED (Consideration may be given to Charge Nurse ED experience, but a Manager level position in a high acuity facility is strongly preferred).
• Education: Graduate of Professional School of Nursing, BSN preferred or actively pursuing with a 2-year completion within the date of hire.
• Licenses/Certifications: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, required within 90 days: ACLS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ENPC or PALS.
