Registered Nurse - Long Term Care Full Time Evening

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to residents with acute, subacute, and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments per care plans and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Providing guidance to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and overseeing unit workflow to ensure coordinated care.
• Monitoring residents' conditions, communicating significant changes to physicians, and documenting accurately.
• Managing medication inventories, ensuring correct distribution, and monitoring side effects.
• Educating residents and families, addressing preventative measures, and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Responding promptly to alarms, implementing restraint alternatives, and providing end-of-life care with compassion and dignity.
• Participating in shift reports, maintaining safety protocols, and performing point-of-care testing if needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensing.
• Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform necessary tasks.
• Strong communication skills and attention to resident safety and comfort.

Skills

• Excellent assessment, planning, and evaluation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams and families.
• Knowledge of regulations and standards of practice.
