Responsibilities
- Administering medications and treatments while ensuring safety and compliance.
- Providing guidance to nursing assistants and monitoring care workflow.
- Communicating with residents, families, and healthcare providers about resident conditions.
- Maintaining accurate medication inventories and following safety protocols.
- Implementing preventative measures and responding promptly to alarms.
- Delivering compassionate end-of-life care, ensuring comfort and dignity.
- Participating in shift reports, documentation, and other assigned duties.
Qualifications and skills
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program or equivalent.
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification for respective states.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform patient care activities.
- Strong communication skills and attention to safety protocols.
Key duties
- Providing quality nursing care aligned with care plans and regulations.
- Supervising ancillary staff and ensuring effective team collaboration.
- Monitoring residents' health status and reporting significant changes.
- Ensuring medication safety and proper documentation.
- Participating in resident and family education and support.
