Responsibilities

  • Lead the assigned clinical specialty unit by directing, educating, and monitoring nursing and support associates to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care and achieve clinical objectives.
  • Optimize patient flow and resource allocation by independently assessing daily care needs and distributing assignments that match patient acuity with staff competency, guaranteeing safe, population-appropriate care across specialties like Cardiovascular, Critical Care, and Emergency.
  • Manage complex patient and physician dynamics, setting critical priorities and serving as the primary point of resolution for patient care concerns to maintain a stable, professional, and patient-first care environment.
  • Support unit efficiency and operational readiness by ensuring the immediate availability of all necessary materials, resources, and supplies, allowing the entire team to focus fully on clinical care delivery.
  • Contribute to the future strength of the team by providing essential input on the hiring, training, and professional development of nursing and support staff.

Qualifications

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
