Registered Nurse - Internal Travel Team - PCU

Role Overview The registered nurse (RN) in the Internal Travel Team provides patient care across multiple Mayo Clinic sites, including Arizona, Florida, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, supporting PCU or Med/Surg units. The RN is responsible for coordinating patient care, patient/family education, and care transitions within the Nursing Practice Model, demonstrating leadership, mentoring, and participation in quality improvement efforts. Key Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care and ensure effective communication with patients and families.Complete orientation coursework such as FCCN and ACLS (or PCCN as a substitute).Support contingency staffing and travel between locations, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.Participate in professional practice activities, including mentoring and committee involvement. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least one year of RN experience in PCU or ICU settings.Experience in float pool, cross-site work, and external travel preferred.Excellent communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and computer skills.Current multi-state RN licenses and BLS certification required. Additional Details This role offers a fixed hourly rate, travel stipend, and comprehensive benefits.Requires flexibility in hours, including weekends and holidays, with variable scheduling.Open to new graduate nurses through a dedicated Nurse Residency Program.Eligible for TN sponsorship with necessary licensure and certifications.
