Registered Nurse - Internal Travel Team – PCU & Med/Surg

About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Internal Travel Team provides patient care across multiple Mayo Clinic sites, supporting units such as PCU and Med/Surg. The RN coordinates nursing care, educates patients and families, and facilitates care transitions while adhering to professional standards and Mayo Clinic's practice model.

Responsibilities

• Complete orientation coursework including FCCN and ACLS (or PCCN as substitute).
• Support patient care needs by traveling to different locations as required.
• Lead and delegate nursing activities, participate in quality improvement, and mentor team members.
• Support contingency staffing across Mayo Clinic sites, ensuring flexible and adaptable work practices.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of one year RN experience in PCU or ICU settings; float pool or cross-site experience preferred.
• Current multi-state RN licenses (MN, WI, AZ, FL) and BLS certification.
• Ability to work flexible hours, adapt to changing situations, and demonstrate leadership.
