About the role
Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit, providing high-acuity care to patients needing close monitoring and advanced interventions.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments
- Administer medications and therapies
- Monitor cardiac rhythms
- Educate patients and families
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Care for patients with conditions such as cardiac issues, respiratory illnesses, sepsis, stroke, renal disorders, and post-procedural recovery requiring continuous telemetry and specialized treatments
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with a preferred Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of one year of acute nursing experience
- Current RN licensure in the appropriate state
- BLS certification
- Inactive or lapsed licenses for over five years require a Board-approved refresher course before reinstatement
