Registered Nurse - Intermediate Care

About the role

We are seeking a registered nurse to provide exceptional patient care in a rural Medsurg unit with diverse diagnoses, from traditional to advanced intermediate care. The role involves collaborating with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that prioritize patient needs and preferences.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and recognize care patterns.
• Administer medications and respond to critical situations such as CPR.
• Continuously evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Act as a patient advocate and provide education to support informed decision-making.
• Ensure safe handling of equipment and patient transfers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum one year of acute care nursing experience; intermediate/PCU experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• Strong assessment, collaboration, and communication skills essential.
