About the role
Provide patient care in a rural Medsurg unit, caring for a diverse patient population with varying diagnoses, including intermediate care needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to prioritize care and adjust plans as needed.
- Advocate for patients, educate them, and ensure timely delivery of treatments.
- Administer medications, perform routine nursing procedures, and respond to critical situations.
- Monitor patient progress, modify care plans to meet evolving needs, and ensure optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least one year of acute nursing experience; Intermediate Care or PCU experience is preferred.
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification required.
