Registered Nurse - Infection Control Specialist

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and implements infection control programs across various departments
• Participates in rounds and educates staff on best practices
• Assists in developing policies
• Conducts surveillance activities and manages hospital-acquired infection data
• Collaborates with community health agencies and supports investigation of reportable infections
• Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and Department of Health requirements
• Reviews medical records for infection risks
• Maintains expertise in CDC reporting criteria

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 2 years of hospital RN experience
• BSN

Preferred qualifications

• Infection prevention experience
• Survey readiness experience
• Knowledge of epidemiology
