Registered Nurse- ICU Step Down

About the role

The ICU Step-Down unit at Northwest Hospital has 11 beds. Staff members provide high-quality, compassionate, standardized, evidence-based critical care to patients and their families. Staff members often work to clear obstacles for patients related to their care. ICU Step-Down staff members are outgoing and positive and must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement direct age-appropriate clinical care to assigned patients on a per‑shift basis and at the unit level.
• Supervise staff to whom care is delegated.
• Support the CNO to ensure high‑quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, maintain clinical staff competency, and manage resources related to patient care.
• Work to clear obstacles for patients related to their care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse License
• Less than one year of experience
