Registered Nurse- ICU Step Down
About the role
Under the direction of the unit manager, this role provides direct clinical patient care in the 11-bed ICU Step-Down unit at Northwest Hospital. Staff members deliver high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based critical care to patients and families, focusing on removing care obstacles. The role involves assessing patient status, implementing clinical nursing interventions, and developing care plans to improve outcomes. Responsibilities include supervision of delegated care staff and supporting the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and resource-efficient nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, and implement direct age-appropriate clinical care for assigned patients on a per-shift basis.
- Develop and implement patient care plans to enhance outcomes.
- Supervise staff to ensure appropriate care delegation.
- Utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to modify symptoms and improve patient status.
- Support unit-level and organizational goals for high-quality, safe nursing care and resource management.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse License (essential).
- Less than one year of experience (essential).

Pay
$37.15 to $57.58 per hour, based on experience.
