Registered Nurse - Hospice

Role Overview The RN Charge Nurse provides clinical leadership and operational oversight for hospice care, ensuring safe, compassionate, and patient-centered services. They coordinate staffing, manage resources, support clinical decision-making, mentor team members, and serve as a liaison among patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team. Promoting clinical excellence and accountability, the Charge Nurse fosters a collaborative team environment dedicated to high-quality end-of-life care. Key Responsibilities Lead and support clinical staff to deliver exceptional hospice care in patients' homes.Coordinate patient care, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure smooth operations.Mentor and support team members in clinical skills and professionalism.Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers.Uphold standards of clinical excellence, patient safety, and accountability. Qualifications & Skills Current RN license with applicable certifications (BLS, unit-specific as required).Experience in clinical nursing, with mentoring skills preferred.Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN); must obtain within four years if hired without it.Physical ability to assess patient needs, operate equipment, and perform patient transfers.
