About the Role
As a Full Time Registered Nurse and Health Center Manager, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Huntsville, AL. The role balances 50% clinical and 50% administrative responsibilities, including staff leadership, operations, compliance, referrals, and performance metrics. You will lead a 10-member clinical team while staying clinically engaged, providing patient care for ages 3 and up.
Responsibilities
- Manages daily operations, staff, and workflow to ensure efficient health center performance.
- Oversees hiring, training, onboarding, and performance management of staff (typically composed of RNs, LPNs, administrative, and technical staff).
- Allocates time to patient care and technical expertise as needed.
- Monitors patient flow, patient utilization, and penetration.
- Identifies process improvement opportunities, workflow efficiencies, and determines root cause analysis.
- Serves as infection control lead, collaborates on quality initiatives, and maintains compliance with regulations.
- Communicates corporate policies, conducts meetings, and engages with client representatives.
- Completes incident reports and assists with investigations and complaint resolutions.
- Maintains patient health records to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Current license as RN in state of practice.
- Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support for healthcare providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.
- Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in the medical field.
- 2–3 years of management experience.
- Experience accessing CDC, WHO, APIC, or other industry standards for Infection Prevention practices.
Schedule
Monday–Wednesday, approximately 7:00 AM–6:00 PM; Thursday is a dedicated 8-hour administrative day with flexibility in scheduling; Friday, approximately 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.
