Registered Nurse - General Med/Surg

About the Role

The registered nurse (RN) coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, education, and care transitions. They support professional practice across various settings, ensuring comprehensive care aligned with the Mayo Clinic Nursing Practice Model and ANA standards. The RN provides leadership through mentoring, precepting, and quality improvement initiatives, delegates tasks based on skill, experience, and patient acuity, and communicates effectively. Some roles may require driving a personal vehicle.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid RN license.
• Entry-level RNs hired after April 1, 2020, must provide proof of a baccalaureate degree within five years; those hired before must demonstrate degree completion per previous requirements.
• One year of RN or LPN experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and computer skills.
• Adaptability to changing environments.
• Additional licensing or certifications may be required based on the work area.
• Eligible for TN sponsorship with proper licensure and certification.
