About the role

The Registered Professional Nurse is responsible for assessing patients' health status, identifying alterations, and responding to actual or potential health issues. They implement nursing interventions based on nursing theories and sciences, evaluate their effectiveness, and aim for optimal patient outcomes. The nurse involves patients, families, and significant others in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation processes. They supervise and delegate care to Licensed Practical Nurses and Unlicensed Assistive Personnel, coordinating with other healthcare professionals as needed. The role fosters a positive work environment and emphasizes excellence in patient care, nursing innovation, patient advocacy, and collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; nurses hired without a BSN must obtain one within three years
• Certification requirements include obtaining a professional nursing board certification within specified timeframes
• A current RN license in the State of Florida is required
