Job Summary

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced ER.

  • Assess patient conditions, triage, and initiate appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to streamline patient throughput.
  • Adhere to safety, infection control, and quality standards with measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EHR system.
  • Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions per protocols.
  • Monitor vital signs, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to reduce wait times and improve outcomes.
  • Demonstrate adaptability by handling high-volume demand while maintaining quality care.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to advance clinical competencies and certifications.
  • Mentor and educate junior staff and new hires to support development goals.

Requirements

  • Current RN license and valid certification (ER/ACLS preferred).
  • Active BLS/CPR certification and AED readiness for emergency care.
  • Minimum 2 years ER/acute care nursing experience required.
  • Proficiency in triage, rapid assessment, and protocol-driven treatment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high-volume, fast-paced ER with high throughput.
  • Strong EHR documentation skills and accurate charting in real time.
  • Ability to monitor, interpret vitals, and escalate changes promptly.
  • Familiarity with infection control, safety standards, and quality metrics.
  • Team collaboration skills and ability to mentor junior staff and new hires.
  • Performance-driven mindset with ability to work toward pipeline-based capacity planning.
