Our team at Community Hospital South is looking for a PRN Registered Nurse to provide as-needed care in the emergency room.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care to emergency room patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and care standards.
• Maintains knowledge of medications, equipment, expected patient outcomes, and anticipated complications.
• Coordinates patient care with the multidisciplinary team.
• Acts to protect and advance the patient’s best interest.
• Collaborates with the patient, the patient’s family, and other members of the health care team to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and coordinate treatment plans.
• Works as a team member within the entire facility and performs other duties as assigned.
• Demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties outlined in this job description and continually demonstrates competency in performing job duties.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
• Minimum of one year experience in Med-Surg, Emergency, or ICU preferred.
• BLS Healthcare certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS certifications required within 120 days of hire.
