Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (Days) (PRN)

About the Role

The Registered Nurse performs nursing functions and supervises other RNs, LPNs, and assistive personnel in delivering nursing care according to the state nurse practice act. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing patient care, and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop care plans.
• Implement and evaluate the effectiveness of patient care.
• Supervise and direct the work of RNs, LPNs, and Nurse Techs.

Requirements

• Six months of related experience.
• Alabama Registered Nurse License or Multistate Nursing License.
• Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification.

Qualifications

• Qualifications as designated in Nursing Clinical Ladder Policy.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire for ED, ICU, Surgery, PACU, L&D, Float Pool (Critical Care and Maternity), SSU if taking GI call, or Cath Lab.
• NRP within 6 months of hire for Nursery and L&D.
• PALS within one year of hire in PACU.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
