About the Role
Provide professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform scrub functions, including handling instruments and supplies.
- Handle circulating duties such as monitoring patient condition, recording, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist surgeons with tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments.
Requirements
- Current licensure/registration as a professional nurse, obtained from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Certification in BLS, required within 1 month of hire, and Advanced Life Support within 6 months.
- Preferred scrub experience.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing school.
