About the Role
Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub functions, including selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
- Conduct circulating duties such as monitoring, recording, and communicating patient conditions, and managing overall nursing care before, during, and after procedures.
- Assist surgeons with tasks like hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning.
- Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, and equipment for procedures.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Current BLS certification within 30 days of hire, and Advanced Life Support within 180 days.
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited nursing program.
