About the Role

This position provides psychiatric nursing care to adolescents with emotional disabilities and court-involved youth on a residential unit. Responsibilities include medication administration and daily management of groups of adolescents. The role involves delivering nursing care on an assigned unit and training for Charge Nurse duties.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric nursing care to adolescents with emotional disabilities and court-involved youth.
• Administer medications and manage daily activities for groups of adolescents.
• Deliver nursing care on an assigned residential unit.
• Train for and assume Charge Nurse duties.

Requirements

• Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi-state license in party states where the candidate has declared primary residence.
• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license if assigned duties requiring operation of a motor vehicle.
• Ability to successfully complete and maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
• Availability for call-in and ability to provide a contact phone number.
• Subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with adolescents with emotional disabilities and court-involved youth.
• Experience using Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) techniques.
