About the Role

This position provides direct care to children and adolescents and their families through clinical services such as individual, group, and family therapy. The role focuses on improving mental health and enhancing social and family functioning. The position acts as a primary therapist and case manager within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy to children and adolescents.
• Act as a primary therapist and case manager within a multidisciplinary team.
• Facilitate improved mental health and more effective social and family functioning.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Graduate Social Worker, Master Social Worker, or Certified Social Worker by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners prior to appointment (or pending receipt of the required license by June 30, 2018, or after July 1, 2018, depending on licensure level).
• Valid operator’s license if assigned duties requiring the operation of an automobile.

Qualifications

Education: Determined by the Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners under the licensing requirements for Social Workers.

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working with adolescents with emotional disabilities and court-involved youth.
• Experience using Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior (PMAB) techniques.
