About the role
This is a supervisory role responsible for coordinating, directing, and supervising the provision of nursing care services by assigned licensed and non-licensed staff to patients on a twenty-four hour basis. This position provides clinical teaching and administrative supervision for assigned personnel and may provide direct nursing care as needed. This position also performs other related duties.
Requirements
- Current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi-state license in party states where the candidate has declared primary residence.
- Three years of experience as a Registered Nurse, including:
- One year in a supervisory, administrative, or teaching capacity.
- Two years in the Medical or Psychiatric option.
- Candidates may substitute education for experience as follows:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related field from an accredited college or university for one year of the required general experience.
- A Master’s degree in Nursing or a health-related field from an accredited college or university for two years of the required general experience.
- U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing and Hospital Administration specialty codes on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
- If assigned duties require the operation of an automobile, a valid motor vehicle operator’s license in the State of Maryland is required.
- May be required to successfully complete cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and maintain current certification.

- Subject to substance abuse testing in accordance with Code of Maryland Regulations 17.04.09.
