Registered Nurse - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, Part-Time Nights

About the role

The registered nurse (RN) is responsible for coordinating comprehensive patient care, including direct clinical duties, patient and family education, and care transitions.

Responsibilities

• Support professional nursing practice across various settings
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of care
• Provide leadership through mentorship, committee participation, and quality improvement initiatives
• Delegate tasks based on skill, experience, and resource availability
• Maintain excellent communication, mentoring, and teaching skills
• May be required to drive a personal vehicle for work-related duties

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate nursing degree
• Preferred experience of one year in relevant care settings or Mayo Clinic LPN experience
• Current RN license per state requirements
• BLS or equivalent certification
• Additional licensure or certifications may be necessary based on the work area
