Registered Nurse - Cardiac Care

About the role

Provide specialized, patient-centered care for adults with complex cardiac conditions requiring continuous monitoring in the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (CPCU).

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care, monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatments, and post-discharge care.
• Document assessments and interventions, participate in quality improvement, and uphold patient safety practices.
• Support a compassionate, healing environment aligned with organizational values.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Preferred experience in cardiac or critical care nursing.
• Optional certifications include ACLS and NIH Stroke Scale.
