About the role
Provide comprehensive patient care and coordinate interdisciplinary activities in a specialized neuroscience unit.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer treatments and medications
- Evaluate intervention effectiveness
- Collaborate with healthcare team members
- Ensure safety and promote patient and family education
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and safety programs
- Assess patient needs across physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual domains
- Coordinate and deliver direct patient care, including treatments, diagnostics, and medications
- Formulate and revise care plans based on patient responses
- Collaborate proactively with physicians and team members to meet patient needs
- Participate in decision-making, troubleshoot equipment, and promote evidence-based practices
- Engage in patient safety, quality education, and unit-specific metrics to enhance care standards
Qualifications & Skills
- Nursing degree from a specialty training program
- Compassionate care approach
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
- Ability to manage diverse medical, surgical, and neurological patient populations, including those requiring continuous EEG monitoring
