About the role

Geisinger is offering a full-time Inpatient RN position with up to $24,000 hiring incentive for eligible candidates. The minimum hiring rate is $41.50, with increased rates for experienced individuals and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, organize, perform, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs.
• Promote adaptive responses of patient and family to achieve the highest level of care, safety, and satisfaction.
• Exhibit compassionate care during patient-nurse interactions and coordinate patient care among staff.
• Complete assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
• Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout care.
• Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care, including patient/family education and discharge planning, with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise the plan of care based on patient response.
• Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and interdisciplinary team members to resolve and facilitate patient needs.
• Problem-solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures in equipment care and handling.
• Participate in unit-based decision-making regarding evidence-based practice.
• Actively contribute as a team member toward unit and organizational goals, including accountability for unit and system-specific metrics.
• Engage in patient quality and safety education programs and activities to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.

Pay
