Registered Nurse - Advanced Acute Care Neurosciences

About the role

The Inpatient Registered Nurse provides comprehensive nursing care in a specialized 27-bed unit focused on neurosciences, including neurology, neurosurgery, and other medical/surgical patients.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, perform, and evaluate nursing activities to meet patient needs
• Promote safety, patient satisfaction, and compassionate interactions
• Coordinate patient care, including education, discharge planning, treatments, medications, and diagnostics
• Evaluate intervention effectiveness and adjust care plans accordingly
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to address patient needs proactively
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and participate in evidence-based practice decisions
• Participate in quality, safety, and departmental improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Nursing Specialty Training Program (required)
• Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to handle diverse patient populations, including neurological and general medical/surgical cases
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning

Schedule

Night shifts with every other weekend and holiday rotations.
