About the Role
This position involves providing direct patient care in a Behavioral Health setting for adult and geriatric patients with mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients.
- Develop and revise individualized care plans based on patient progress.
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and team meetings.
- Conduct and co-lead group therapy sessions.
- Evaluate and respond to patient progress, adjusting interventions as needed.
- Conduct bio-psychosocial assessments.
- Implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Support patient stabilization and recovery.
Requirements
- Licensed Registered Nurse with active licensure from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
- Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
