Registered Nurse - Adult Psychiatry - Multiple Shifts

Position Overview: Provides direct patient care in a Behavioral Health setting for adult and geriatric patients with mental health needs. Responsibilities include conducting initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments, developing and implementing nursing care plans, participating in treatment team conferences, and leading group therapy sessions. Evaluates patient responses and collaborates with the team to adjust interventions accordingly. Qualifications include a valid nursing license from the Alabama Board of Nursing, BLS certification within one month of hire, and a diploma from an accredited nursing program. Skills required encompass compassionate patient care, assessment, treatment planning, and teamwork. Work involves various shifts, including days, nights, and PRN options, at UAB St. Vincent’s East.
