Registered Nurse - Acute Medicine - Full Time

About the Role

This Registered Nurse position provides direct patient care in a 38-bed Acute Care Medicine unit with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4 or 5:1. The role includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, promoting patient and family-centered care, and ensuring safety and quality compliance.

Responsibilities

• Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medications.
• Develop and document individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values and barriers.
• Participate in professional development and multidisciplinary team activities.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety standards.

Requirements

• Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
• Experience: No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
