Acute Medicine Registered Nurse - Full Time Days

About the role

This position involves providing direct patient care on an acute medicine unit with a capacity of 13 adult patients. Nurses will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate care within established standards, promoting patient and family-centered care, education, and safety. Responsibilities

• Develop and document individualized care plans with team and patient input
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
• Ensure effective communication across care settings
• Assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients
• Educate patients and families on managing illnesses, post-treatment care, and medications
• Participate in activities that ensure patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing (minimum)
• RN license required
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least two years of experience
