Registered Nurse - Acute Care - Medical/Surgical

About the role

This role involves providing safe, age-appropriate patient care on a 40-bed cardiac telemetry unit specializing in acute cardiac conditions. Nurses collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during rounds, perform assessments, hourly rounding, phlebotomies, IV insertions, and patient education. The role emphasizes autonomous practice, communication, teamwork, and patient advocacy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive patient care tailored to cardiac patients.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team discussions and care planning.
• Assist with bedside procedures and patient education.
• Ensure safety and comfort of patients with complex cardiac needs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Associate's degree or diploma in Nursing; less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• Valid RN license to practice in Maryland.
• American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Knowledge of cardiac telemetry, assessments, and basic nursing procedures.
