About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) unit, utilizing the nursing process within a multidisciplinary team. Focuses on evidence-based practice, patient wellness, safety, and quality outcomes. Serves as a preceptor for new staff and adapts to a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver top-of-scope nursing care.
  • Support specialty education and competency validation.
  • Contribute to a safe, high-quality clinical setting.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Adhere to clinical guidelines and standards.
  • Perform direct patient assessments and administer treatments.
  • Educate patients and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development supported by clinical educators.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Active RN licensure.
  • BLS certification.
  • Minimum of 6 months nursing experience.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Preferred: Chemotherapy Immunotherapy ONS certification within one year.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
