About the Role
Provides direct patient care in a specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) unit, utilizing the nursing process within a multidisciplinary team. Focuses on evidence-based practice, patient wellness, safety, and quality outcomes. Serves as a preceptor for new staff and adapts to a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Deliver top-of-scope nursing care.
- Support specialty education and competency validation.
- Contribute to a safe, high-quality clinical setting.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to clinical guidelines and standards.
- Perform direct patient assessments and administer treatments.
- Educate patients and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Engage in ongoing learning and professional development supported by clinical educators.
- Contribute to a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active RN licensure.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum of 6 months nursing experience.
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- Preferred: Chemotherapy Immunotherapy ONS certification within one year.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
