About the role
Provides proficient, direct patient care in a fast-paced, 24/7 acute care environment, utilizing the nursing process to optimize outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develops, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on assessments.
- Monitors, documents, and communicates patient conditions to a multidisciplinary team.
- Coordinates care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support.
- Educates patients and families tailored to their age, culture, and needs.
- Delegates tasks to ancillary staff and may precept students and new hires.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; preferred Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; relevant life support certifications as required.
- Minimum of 6 months RN nursing experience.
